Trees play a crucial role in the well-being and development of a country in multiple ways. But in Bangladesh, approximately 47% of Dhaka's northern 194.2 square kilometer region was green in 1992; this percentage fell to 31% in 2002, 18% in 2012, and 16.17% in 2022.
