Egypt pays great attention to Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and it is considered one of the most important countries praised in social work in general, especially in the field of care and rehabilitation of PwD.
Egypt ratified the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2008. Since then, Egypt consider PwD rights as one of its priorities, particularly access to justice for PwD. Many steps has been taken by the Egyptian government to pave the way for PwD to access justice. This article will discuss the steps taken by the Ministry of Justice with regard to access to justice for PwD.
