Even though I am Brazilian, I only had the opportunity to visit the Amazon for the first time in 2017. This visit, more than any theoretical study I learned in the classroom, made me rethink my own life as an agent responsible for the protection and care of one of the greatest treasures we share with humanity: The Amazon. This only happened because I had the opportunity to listen and learn directly from people who fight daily to preserve, maintain, protect, and multiply the biodiversity of our nature, to protect the life of humanity itself. Since then, I have always tried to reflect on my position: what am I doing today to protect our treasure? What can I do? I invite you to do the same reflection and start acting concretely as an ally in the struggle of indigenous peoples.
