Democracy in Brazil is very young, as the country went through a period of dictatorship between the 60s and 80s of the last century. It was only in 1988 that the country promulgated a new democratic Constitution, establishing the rescue of citizenship, the focus on the promotion of human rights, the separation of powers and direct elections for government positions, including for President of the Republic. It turns out that in 2019 the term of Jair Bolsonaro began, who expressly threatened all the powers of the Republic, including trying to rig the country's democratic elections in 2022 directly and indirectly in countless ways.
