This is for the one who still struggles to make sense of what happened, for the one who still can’t process it, for the one who is still reluctant to use that word “Rape”. So many times, you have asked yourself, is healing possible? Will I ever stop hurting? Will I get my life back? Without a shadow of doubt, you have been harmed, and to say you have faced injustice is an understatement. You were left traumatized, suicidal, angry at the outcome of a broken system that re-traumatizes victims and rakes their character through the coals. Let me say that again, none of this is your fault. Regardless of your story, someone chose to harm you, and that decision sits firmly on them. No matter how your healing unfolds, know that this is not your shame to carry.
