Summary

Child labour is not strange to every Tom, Dick, and Harry in this part of the world because saying it is practiced in Nigeria will amount to nothing other than an understatement but in the real sense, it is not just peculiar to Nigeria as it is seen and practiced in other parts of Africa although with different levels and percentage. Child labour is frowned at globally. Unfortunately, all that frowning hasn’t stopped the trend, especially in Nigeria.

Child labour is a pervasive problem in Nigeria as it has undoubtedly become the everyday reality for millions of children. The causes of child labour in Nigeria are complex and multifaceted, but poverty, lack of education and cultural norms are among the most significant factors.
