Summary
The new administration ushered in on the 29th of May 2023 brought in another level of hardship into the country, the abrupt and reckless end of the subsidy scheme inflicts severe hardship on Nigerians who are already grappling with soaring inflation; making life becoming more difficult because of the daily routine of increased expenditure. The ugly sight of the masses toiling under excruciating economic condition and the rate at which poverty has eaten deep into the country is not only frightening but heartbreaking. This devastating national situation has left many Nigerians to venture into the battle and cry for survival. Both salary earners and self-employed citizens are complaining that their earnings rarely meet up with family demands including feeding, health, education, and housing.
