SUMMARY

Colonialism has not only left serious wounds in the past that are difficult to heal, but it is perpetuated in the 21st century under new forms of action, in which education, the processes of formation of new values, habits and knowledge of the populations that emerge at independence, apparent decolonization and doubtful freedom. To get an approximate idea of the magnitude of the political problem, and its evident educational consequences, only in the year 1960, now a little over 50 years ago, 17 countries of the African continent managed to achieve their independence - not of the 54 that make up the present. Even in the current year of 2011, new countries continue to appear in Africa, such as South Sudan, the last to join the club of African independents as a result of the rupture of the territorial and political unity of Greater Sudan, after years of relentless conflicts and terrible suffering for the civilian population, particularly the most vulnerable, women and children.
