Rescue efforts involving 7,500 firefighters and air support are underway to combat the inferno and protect communities. Concurrently, neighboring Tunisia also battles wildfires, adding to the urgency of the situation. As the climate crisis worsens extreme weather events globally, it necessitates urgent action to mitigate its impacts on vulnerable regions like the Mediterranean, emphasizing the need for sustainable solutions and international cooperation.
