In recent years, the issue of minimum wage has gained significant attention globally. Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States, implemented a notable increase in its minimum wage in recent years. This decision reflects the government's commitment to enhancing the living standards of its citizens and addressing income inequality. The wage increase is expected to have a positive impact on the economy, providing greater financial stability for workers and potentially stimulating consumer spending. The latest increase will go into effect on July 1, 2023.
