Summary
The commitment to equality between men and women in Azerbaijan's Constitution has supported significant efforts to advance gender equality over the past few decades. In addition to changing marriage and family dynamics, progress is demonstrated by women's higher life expectancies and higher literacy rates. Gender inequality, which has an effect on family structures and social norms, persists, though. With an understanding that their actions influence harmful practices, men's contributions to the cause of gender equality are now widely acknowledged. The International Men and Gender Equality Survey (IMAGES) carried out in Azerbaijan highlights the necessity of engaging men and overcoming prejudices. Although the nation's policies show commitment, achieving total equality calls for widespread societal commitment.
