Summary
Ever wonder why it feels like your vote does not count? The answer can be summed up with one simple word: gerrymandering and this has been a thorn on democracy in many countries. Gerrymandering is a disgraceful national tradition that should have no place in our electoral system, while most countries advertise themselves as a representative democratic state, many voters question the degree to which the legislators achieve the democratic ideals of this system because at the forefront of this question is the controversial issue of gerrymandering and this has made lot of voters respond by simply disengaging. Why get involved in the process if your legislator doesn’t seem to value your support or your views?
