Summary
A 2022 US government human rights report found a number of human rights violations within Ghanaian prisons. Mistreatment, torture and inadequate sanitary conditions are only a few of the many violations. This article therefore examines the extent of these treatments, which prisoner's rights are to be respected but which are not respected.
