SUMMARY Many view Switzerland as a well off country, but it is not immune to the issues of poverty and homelessness. Homelessness in Switzerland is a multifaceted issue influenced by economic, social, and social, and international factors. A recent study highlights the challenges faced by municipalities in addressing homelessness, particularly in cities. The high cost of accommodation and limited access to social assistance contribute to the problem. Economic migrants and individuals seeking refuge from conflicts abroad further compound the issue. While temporary measures have been introduced, there is a need for sustained efforts to provide support and tackle the underlying causes of homelessness.
