Summary
Over the last years, telemedicine has gained significant traction as a potential solution to healthcare disparities. Described as the application of modern ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) in healthcare, its adoption has caused substantial in our view a medical care. As people were unable to visit hospitals or clinics as they used to, during the COVID-19 pandemic, telemedicine use has significantly increased. This article put in light how telemedicine bridges the gap in healthcare services by offering equal healthcare opportunities for all and the eventual challenges that come with it.
