Historically, menstruation has been surrounded by taboos and stigmatization, menstruating has become a headache for girls, women and people who menstruate all over the world, it is a reason for shame, fear, worry and pain, it has been used as a pretext of exclusion, for religious, cultural, sociological, and budgetary reasons, which has caused many people around the world to live this stage in an invisible and silence way, affecting their fundamental rights to human dignity, health, their sexual and reproductive rights, education, among others. It also affects a significant number of menstruating homeless people, who, in addition to facing serious difficulties with the daily challenges presented by the street, society, and meeting their basic needs, must also confront the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products, which generates serious risks to their physical, mental and emotional health, which translates into an evident violation of their Human Rights.
