SUMMARY

Human rights are the fundamental entitlements that every individual is inherently entitled to by virtue of being a human being. These rights encompass the principles of equality, dignity, and freedom, and are intended to ensure the well-being and protection of all individuals. However, in our complex and interconnected world, the rise of social indifference poses a significant threat to the realisation of these human rights. Social indifference refers to the apathetic attitude towards the suffering and struggles of others, often driven by ignorance, lack of empathy, or a sense of powerlessness. This article delves into the detrimental impact of social indifference on human rights and emphasises the urgency of addressing this issue.
