Inclusive youth participation has emerged as a crucial aspect of Africa's climate governance, igniting hope and catalyzing transformative action in the face of pressing environmental challenges. With Africa being one of the regions most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, involving its vibrant and diverse youth population in climate governance becomes imperative. However, it is essential to move beyond the limited perspective that positions young people solely as future victims, acknowledging the current challenges they face compared to older generations. By recognizing youth as active participants in addressing the intersecting issues of inequality and promoting a just transition to a green, low-emission economy, Africa will harness their potential as catalysts for change, fostering a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future for the continent and its inhabitants.
