Summary
The question of whether political arrests are acceptable is a complex and contentious one, and opinions on this issue vary widely depending on the context and perspective. Political arrest is common now in Kenya especially with the current civil unrests which is going on. Those of the opposing are put under arrest and taken to court. Example Kenyan police tear gassed the leader of the opposition and arrested senior lawmakers in his parliamentary faction, as protesters took to the streets to march against President William Ruto and the high cost of living.
