Summary

Religion is an integral part of human identity and plays a significant role in shaping individuals' values, beliefs, and way of life. However, in certain circumstances, people have been denied opportunities solely based on their religious affiliation. Ideally, societies should protect the right to practice and express one's religious beliefs freely. With religious liberty being a fundamental human right, denying opportunities based on religion contradicts the principles of equality and fairness. Discrimination on religious grounds perpetuates division and intolerance within societies, hindering social cohesion and harmony. Furthermore, denying opportunities to individuals due to their religion undermines economic growth and innovation. Effective economies thrive on diversity, inclusivity, and meritocracy. If talented individuals are excluded from opportunities based solely on their religious beliefs, society as a whole suffers.
