Surviving the Storm: The Resilience of Syrian Refugees in Lebanon

Escaping from atrocities to atrocities is what Syrian refugees are living. Since the civil war in Syria erupted, thousands of people were forced to move because their integrity is being threatened. Crossing the border to Lebanon is the most common escape route for these people, but they are not saved. Living is not an option; surviving is. Uprooting is only one of the problems they face when crossing the border. Poverty, begging, torture, and deportation make living very rough.
