SUMMARY

The Democratic Republic of Congo has been engulfed by unending civil wars for the past 3 decades dating back in the 1990s. As successive regimes transitioned, women have been at the very receiving end of brutality and sexual assaults perpetrated by the regime forces and armed militia groups.
