SUMMARY
Contrary to the safety, privacy, support, care and nurturing children receive in most homes by their parents or guardians, the streets hosting millions of children around the world are one of the leading pathways to exploitation of its inhabitants.

Different unexpected circumstances such as death of parents, peer influences or a deliberate choice or willingness to be on streets are some of the many reasons why children live on these streets in the first place.

The survival of these children on streets is surrounded by different forms of violence, drug abuse or dependence, torture, rapes, and several other forms of exploitations that not only deny their rights to basic needs but also predisposes them to a life full of mockery, drug dependence, threats and vulnerabilities.
