SUMMARY
Throughout the life cycle of our existence, our bodies experience different forms of physiological changes. Some of these physiological changes are predictable and undeniable yet others are categorized as insignificant to our existence. Commencement of the menstrual cycle is one such undeniable or predictable physiological change specific to the female gender. In many communities this change marks the beginning of new responsibilities, practices or beliefs that eventually pave ways to motherhood in the near future yet on the other hand; this same period serves as a lived experience of never ending mental and financial strain to the homeless individuals, displaced and other vulnerable populations. One wonders why such a paramount basic right to menstrual hygiene products remains limited to specific age groups, areas and populations despite continuous efforts of different entities enforcing the need and urgency of actions that portrays no form of boundaries to access.
