Post the collapse of the Afghanistan government in 2021 and the subsequent takeover by the Taliban. The situation raised concerns about human rights violations, especially regarding women's rights. Under the Taliban's rule, women faced significant challenges, including restrictions on education and employment. These bans are likely to have severe negative economic consequences for Afghanistan, such as reduced workforce participation, brain drain, and a potential decline in foreign investment and aid.
