SUMMARY
Globally, the rising number of refugees or immigrants is influenced by several factors such as political instability, peer pressure, and laws that guarantee safety, growth, and democracy in foreign countries. The process of migration to foreign lands is often a form of forced displacement, such as in wars, or intentional, such as in the case of people seeking further education. Moreover, depending on the circumstances, refugees or immigrants are frequently surrounded by unpredictable situations that expose them to a variety of exploitation, vulnerabilities, violation of human rights, and an overall negative impact on their health or mental well-being. The distorted mental state of refugees or immigrants impacts their abilities to learn new languages, acceptance into their own or host communities, well-being, or development thus interfering with their ability to attain their full potential in life.
