Child poverty is a pressing global issue that has far-reaching consequences for children, families, and societies. It hinders children's health, education, and overall development, perpetuating a cycle of poverty across generations. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated child poverty, pushing millions of children into deprivation. Despite progress in recent years, over 700 million individuals still live in extreme poverty, and children constitute a significant portion of this vulnerable group. Addressing child poverty requires a multi-faceted approach, encompassing social welfare programs, quality education, healthcare access, and women's empowerment. By implementing comprehensive strategies and bolstering child protection measures, societies can break the cycle of child poverty and work towards a more inclusive and equitable future for all children.
