Summary
In the last three months we have seen a change of course by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-sisi: from the imprisonment of human rights activists, Within three months, the president decided to pardon two emblematic cases of the right to speak and expression denied in Egypt: Ahmed Douma and Patrik Zaki. Human rights are being undermined in Egypt by the imprisonment of activists. In this article, we analyse the causes and consequences of imprisonment, and the sudden grace of President Al-Sisi.
