In the beginning, the usefulness of stereotypes played a significant role in human evolution, allowing our ancestors to adapt to the environment and helping them make quick decisions to protect themselves from potential threats. However, in today's society, their utility is more ambiguous. On one hand, they can facilitate communication and rapid comprehension of complex information, but on the other hand, they can also lead to prejudice, discrimination, and the perpetuation of social inequalities.
