The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been a hotbed of political instability and violence for decades. The country's eastern region, in particular, has been plagued by conflicts, with various armed groups vying for power and resources. These conflicts have had a devastating impact on the civilian population, particularly women, who have been subjected to sexual violence at alarming rates. This paper examines the issue of women's sexual violence in Eastern DRC, its impact on women, and strategies that can be employed to address the issue.
